Once upon a time in Eagles’ Nest, the librarians put their classes together and showed a video about a chance encounter in a book store with Malcom Mitchell, a football player for the University of Georgia.  You can view the video here:   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uPLwQm2y83E ).

The students were attentive during the short video and when it was over the librarians asked, “What do you think about it?”

Several students asked, “Why can’t we have a book club?”

“Music to a librarian’s ears,” Judy Shipes, librarian said.

So, the book club was established and are reading the Young Adult novel Delirium by Lauren Oliver.  Anyone interested in reading along with the book club, can join them at their first official book club meeting, in the library, November 19 at 2:30 p.m. to discuss the book.
