Chorale Choir Chosen to Sing at World of Music

The Cypress Creek Foundation for the Arts & Community Enrichment (FACE) Organization has invited Klein Forest’s Chorale Choir to perform at the World of Music concert.

Chorale is Klein Forest’s Varsity Mixed Choir, composed of men and women in grades 10, 11, and 12, with rehearsals every Tuesday night.  In addition to their weekly Tuesday night rehearsals, the men and women also rehearse during their respective class periods.

“We’ve been repeatedly going over our pieces of music, reviewing sections of the songs and mastering them until we perfect them to their best quality,” Christina Hoang, sophomore, said.

As high school students, managing core classes and still being able to dedicate time to extra-curricular activities can be tricky.

“For me,”  Nicolle Lane, sophomore, said, “Finding time to rehearse my music outside of school is difficult because I don’t have it [time].”

Some members can find opportunities like these to be beneficial to the choir.

“The music is more advanced,” Lane said, “meaning it will help improve our sound and our understanding of music in general.”

Chorale members are looking forward to this opportunity.

“It’s going to be really exciting to work with different schools and hearing a new blend of voices,” Hoang said, “and even getting to be conducted by the editor of the music herself.”

The World of Music Concert will be held at The Centrum on Saturday, February 25 at 8 p.m. Tickets can be purchased on the Cypress Creek FACE website.
