Four athletes signed scholarships to run track, play football, basketball and softball in college.

In a celebratory ceremony in the field house, Auhmad Robinson signed to run track at SFA. Coach Remon Smith said Robinson traded in his “me” mentality for the “we” mentality and that contributed to the team bringing home the State Championship last spring.

Briah Ramos signed to play softball at Erie Community College in New York. “I’m so proud of the progress and what she has learned,” Coach Kirsten Clark said. “When she started high school she didn’t play softball, and look at her now. I’m pretty emotional.”

Prairie View A&M signed two Golden Eagles. Jazmin Dixon to play basketball, and  Maurice Westmoreland to play football and run track.

Head coach AJ Sanders said Westmoreland was like the man behind the scene. “He would do anything and play any position we asked him to,” Sanders said. “It was always, ‘yes sir, coach’.”
